The Urban Elfs group in Second Life was a pretty popular chat group, with over 500 members. Usually the chat was vital, fun, challenging, enraging, sexy, outrageous, offensive and more.
Members had expectations that the founder tried to meet or mediate. Those with owner’s powers over the group disagreed vehemently over vital areas.
Rose sought counsel, tried compromise, and was repeatedly told that if she didn’t like what the other owner did, she should walk away.
Taking full responsibility, Rose chose to walk away. She closed the group and left the public scene. She refused to engage.
